Grades 8-12 The fallout from the joyous summer festival of volume three provides Momose-sensei the opportunity to give the last cute guy's backstory, and the series title gets some deeper meaning. The tone-shift in volume four may require a warning for some readers as well as a trigger warning about stalking. Curious readers may investigate the differences in how law enforcement in Japan and the U.S. handle stalking cases, but most readers will likely be satisfied with Anzu once again standing up for the folks who are important to her. Many readers will be satisfied by a sense of righteous vengeance at the end, but the frenetic wrap-up leaves several frayed story lines that might disappoint other readers. The color illustrations are the most polished in this volume, just in time for the most serious topics. The series is worth the investment, but be prepared for questions to which none of us have answers.
