Becker Drane may have the coolest job in The World, but he's struggling to keep up with his normal life outside of The Seems. He's so busy Fixing that his Me-2™ spends more time with his family than he does. And even though he's supposed to keep his life in The World and The Seems separate, he can't stop thinking about the girl he met during his Mission in Sleep. And the Missions aren't exactly getting easier. When a bomb explodes in the Department of Time, Becker is called in to take over for a more senior Fixer.
